Literature
The English Department at MHCC offers a wide variety of undergraduate courses that reflect the range of experiences,
interests, and goals of students. Through the study of literature students can obtain a cohesive learning experience connected to writing and critical thinking. In particular the English Department offers cross-disciplinary approaches as well as critical inquiry into different historical periods and cultures. Through close reading, critical thinking, and interpretive writing students explore the relationship between studying literature and living in a multicultural
and globally interconnected world.
