I also teach because I love the atmosphere of the college classroom--students working together to increase their own personal knowledge and expand their capacities to think and write both creatively and critically. That's the thing that draws me to education: its potential to liberate the mind and produce citizens who can function with understanding and sensitivity in an ever-expanding world.
